The Process: How it Works
The bespoke process is fairly straightforward. Here's what will happen after you make an appointment at Imperial Bespoke Tailors:
Examine Fabrics: The first step involves browsing our 10,000+ fabrics from all over the world. To reach the ultimate level of comfort and style in making our suits and coats, we utilize only fine imported cloths and materials from Italian, Swiss and British houses. We have fabrics from Ermenegildo Zegna, Loro Piana, Scabal, and other top names.
Choose Style: Our tailors will works with you to determine how you wish to use and wear your clothing, and provides expert opinion of cut and details you’ll also need to make a number of decisions regarding style. This includes the number of pockets, number of buttons, lapel size, and jacket vents.
Measurements: Next, our experienced tailor will take more than 25 measurements to prepare each client has a personal pattern. This pattern will be the foundation for the construction of your suit and future pieces.
Fitting: At this stage you will have your first fitting and the cutter will assess the accuracy of his measurements. The basted suit is a blueprint or ‘first draft’ of the final version and can be radically altered if necessary. The cutter will make notes and usually chalk several marks on the suit to instruct the tailors on how the suit is to be crafted.
Making: Once you've made your choices and been fully measured, your fabrics, patterns, and measurements are brought together. From here the real art and craftsmanship starts to create a fine bespoke suit.
Final Adjustments: Once your suit has been constructed you will now have a fitting, or series of fittings. And after the appropriate adjustments have been made and your suit is the perfect fit, you can take your suit home.
